Genetics teamed with a strong anti-aging diet can be a huge defining factor on how a person ages also. However just because you have great genetics don’t be fooled. No matter how good our genes are history has shown that bad habits do catch up with us in the end.

What hurts the aging process? A bad anti aging diet is a compilation of foods that harm our bodies. Consuming a lot of processed foods and fried foods absolutely destroys the body and wreaks havoc and dismantles our plans for an anti aging diet.

The foods that we eat have to do a lot with our energy levels and how our ” performs to ward off disease and illness. I remember always hearing health teachers say you are what you eat. Here are just a few of the foods you should include in your anti aging diet.

Remember the food pyramid they used to show us all through elementary? Well this pyramid though still useful is pretty outdated and would be a horrible tool to use to plan a strong anti-aging diet. If you want to be healthy and slow down the hands of time we  need a plan that works.

One of the most important things to eat that many people are not eating are green leafy vegetables. Green leafy vegetables like spinach, lettuce, and cabbage can be very effective in making the eyes look clearer and help tremendously with digestion. ” like those that can be found in acai berries and blue berries are also very important to an anti-aging diet.

Anti-oxidants can be found in tomatoes, which taste great eaten alone or even better included in salads or cooked dishes. Cooking tomatoes can help to release more of their anti-oxidant properties. Also it is easy to get tomato juice from most grocery stores it tends to be very inexpensive.

Vitamin E is very important for many reasons. One of the key things it does is give us the strength and energy to complete everyday tasks. Vitamin E can be found in almonds, Asparagus, avocados, eggs, milk, red palm oil and many more foods that we can just pick up and munch on throughout the day.
